ABOUT ME
Putting Your Voices to Work
Meiling Chia is a dedicated public servant and community advocate with deep ties to the Burnaby community. She has lived in Burnaby since 1995 after moving from Taiwan and has over two decades of public service experience, including her work at the Canada Revenue Agency and as a former business owner. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.

As a Former Burnaby School Trustee, Meiling has passionately advocated for policies that enhance education, focusing on transparency, accountability, and fostering children's mental development. She has been actively involved in local Parent Advisory Committees and has supported various fundraising initiatives to benefit Burnaby’s public schools.
​
In addition to her public service, Meiling is a board member of the Burnaby Figure Skating Club, where her daughter competes as an award-winning skater. Her leadership style is collaborative, and she remains committed to improving public education, supporting the community, and ensuring that Burnaby remains a great place to live and learn.
